Well today was much like any other. I was quite lost and confused. Although i have been trying to figure things out on my own time, in fact i asked a friend from class to help me yesterday evening. We found that we solved our equations very differently, his method included taking short cuts and arriving at the right answer, and i always worked it out the longest possible way usually getting the right answer. I picked up some tips, and leraned different, more efficient methods to get questions completed.

Well today we were learning trig equations in real numbers. I felt confident today as i listened to the examples, sometimes i can't keep up to writing with you, thats my only problem. I get how you explain things but i am not so sure that i could do it all correctly on my own. I think with some more practice i could get an alright test mark.

I am almost done my chart now. I did four full rows today, in long, drew out triangles and completed fractions, rationalized my denominaters, reduced fractions. Courtney helped me with a lot of my work today, i appreciated it because she explained everything in the most simplistic way. It was extremely helpful. I liked the catching up we did today, gave me time to ask questions and learn on my own time, successful day.

Yesterday, September 17th/09, after class i attempted my homework assingment. I tried over and over to get the questions on my own and look through my student workbook, i figured out a few ways to find the cotangent of a degree, and i struggled through the rest to a point where i could not do it anymore.

Well, today we had a look at some expansion on trig functions.. well not really expansion but completely new concepts that go along with the unit circle. I found it hard to write and listen at even paces, i felt i missed alot of good points in todays lesson because i was more concentrated on writing, thats why the video on our blog will be useful to me, hopefully i will catch up on the web later on.
Yesterday we were unable to access computers, and also on top of that we had a substitute teacher that i didnt want to argue with so i decided to post today. I worked on my first two assignments and attempted my accelerated math. I got help from a few of my classmates and caught myself up on everything i had missed, i am starting to get the concept of radians, yay!

Radians
What is a Radian?
The measure of a central angle subtending an arc equal in length to the radius: Equal to 57.2958 degrees
3.14 radians is equal to 180 degrees

Goals for the semester
1) To achieve a 65% minimum as a final grade
2) To have NO unexcused absences all semester
3) To keep up with my homework at all times
